An extensive network of walking tracks wind their way through the Reserve. There are 6 main walks, and there is no fee to use them.
The Jenolan River Walk starts from the Grand Arch then alongside the Blue Lake (where you may see a platypus) and follows the Jenolan River downstream.
This pleasant walk retraces Jenolan's technological interactions with water, wanders past waterfalls and over a suspension bridge.
Interpretive signs highlight the history, geology, flora and fauna of the area. Turn around at the Hydro station (where platypus may also be spotted) and return along the same path.
- Length: 3km round trip
- Time: 1-1.5 hours return
- Difficulty: easy/moderate
To enjoy any of these walks, we recommend you wear comfortable shoes and a hat and take drinking water with you.
